If a ring is a family heirloom should you get it back after the divorce?

I agree I'd be pissed too!!!!.....I'd be set to lead Ape's on a Rampage to Hell Son!... ha ha ha.........I actually recieved a family heirloom when I was 12........my grandfather gave me my mother's ring (middle daughter)but since my mother was already dead 3 yrs at this time my pappy thought the tradition should go on......When my granfather died when I was 21 .......my aunt(My mother's Sister) took me to court to sue me for the ring.........court told her It was rightfully mine(ha ha ha)this particular ring was passed down on my Mother's side to only the Middle Daughter's....so it's really nice to beable to remind my self of that!
