Is there ANY WAY to keep a gun in Canada? (Canadians and Legal experts please?)?

My family own rifles so its not really illegal to have guns in Canada. I think the rules may be a bit different for a historical gun like that though. I've been to a number of military shows and they display and sell guns there so it is possible to have them in Ontario at least.
