Legal question..Refrigerator fire.?
My refrigerator caught my house on fire last Winter. The homeowners insurance company has the refrigerator and has paid me Actual Cash Value for my house (destroyed by the fire). Due to the refrigerator misfunctioning, I have lost all my belongings and my pets died in the fire. I have lost irreplacable things like family pictures and heirlooms. The emotional trauma has been devastating. I have had to live in a hotel for months. I will not go back to this home after this trauma. As my homeowners insurance company has possession of my refrigerator (severely damaged in the fire almost beyond recognition) does this sound like I have a case? I have never sued anyone before, but the trauma was beyond belief. I feel the refrigerator manufacturer should have to pay for this.? What's your opinion? any advice welcome..Thank you.
