How much hair Loss is Normal? Preferably from hair experts.?

I know they (internet) say that 100-125 is around the normal hair loss rate per day. But when flush my hands through my hair for a good minute or so in the bathroom I see about 100 strands of hair, maybe a little less. So my question is do the hairs that you lose through the day leave your scalp and into the environment unnoticed or do they stay inside your hair until you physically flush them out with your hands or a comb. I feel like this is a big factor because if they leave unnoticed then I have to add more to my hair count which kind of freaks me out. Thanks in advance for any constructive help.
