How can I get a gun back that was given to someone without my consent?

My ex husband gave a gun to his son which my ex husband was supposed to keep the gun and not give it away to anyone. The gun in question was an heirloom from my father in law from my first husband. The gun was supposed to go to our son. Of course it will be my word against there's but I know his son has the gun. What can I do?
