Evo vs Evo 3D? Which phone?

The EVO 3D would be a much better buy especially if you want to play a lot of games and have reasonable battery life. The EVO 3D has the Adreno 220 GPU for graphics which is one of the fastest on the market and it has the new third generation Dual-Core Qualcomm chipset which is much faster and much more battery efficient than the first generation single core Snapdragon chip. The EVO 3D also has the new Sense 3.0 which is very smooth and much more polished than the older sense of the Evo. The only downside with the EVO 3D is that the bootloader is locked, so you can't install aftermarket upgrades to your phone, but HTC has stated that they will unlock it's bootloader soon. HTC is especially good with supporting there phones and the EVO 3D comes with Gingerbread android 2.3 (the newest version of android for now) and the old EVO was the first phone in the United States to get the gingerbread update (not including the phones that came with the new update).
