Is it true that food is going to be hard to come by soon?

Am I right what I am reading that soon food will be scarce in the very near future ? Is it true that they are selling us hybride seeds that will only grow the year you buy them ? Is it also true that they are trying to get rid of heirloom seeds (seeds that can set on the shelf for 10 yrs. and still grow)? Is it also true that farmers are being paid not to grow crops . Who has ordered this kind of crap ? Is it also not true that we can start growing our own food to survive on ? Can we also convince the green house people they need to grow food instead of trees , flowers , and bushes ? Is it also true that we have depended on the government to take care of us to much and now they have gotten us by the balls ? Wait a minute I thought we where the Government ( for the people by the people ) ? Is it not time we need to stop depending on the reps we have sent to represent us and start taking care of ourselves ? Because all I see is them spending our money and then telling us we have to pay it back ! Try telling the banker you want to buy a car , but he is going to have to pay it back . One more question why are they buying up truck loads of food ?
